The Polish development bank supports the sustainable socio-economic development of Poland. It finances strategic infrastructure investments, increases Poles’ access to housing and stimulates the entrepreneurship of Polish companies in Poland and abroad.

Everything we do at Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego, we always do with the future in mind. This approach has been with us for 100 years. This is confirmed by past investments that still serve society and the economy today – subsequent generations of Poles live in apartments built with the support of BGK, ships from all over the world call at the port of Gdynia, and you can still get to Kasprowy Wierch by cable car.

The concept of profit in BGK cannot be identical to the concept of profit in another financial institution, because BGK is not an institution that would work for profit. The bank’s profit is a general progress in the economic life of Poland.

We treat these words of the pre-war president of BGK, General Roman Górecki, as a cornerstone. Thanks to the far-sightedness expressed in them BGK began its support for projects that brought stability, jobs to society and awakened the spirit of development.

Our 100 years are a guide for us. Today, we also support Poland’s sustainable development and build Polish capital – social, cultural and financial. We are looking for a better future for our children by supporting the development of new, clean technologies. Today and tomorrow, just like years ago, we act with the future in mind.
