For years, Chęciny commune has been regarded as one of the most interesting in terms of tourism and leisure activities in both the region and the country. Thanks to the local government’s long-term vision of development and its open-mindedness to new opportunities, the commune has embarked on a dynamic path not only in the tourism sector, but also in the economic and social sector.
Chęciny commune is also home to numerous cultural heritage sites and unique natural and geological values. The Chęciny area has been included in the “Świętokrzyskie Geopark”, which in April 2021, as the first geopark in Poland, joined the prestigious UNESCO Global Geoparks Network. Based on its historical and natural wealth, modern research and scientific centres are being established, i.e. the European Geological Education Centre and the Regional Science and Technology Centre. Chęciny commune also involves numerous investments – the renovation of educational facilities, the construction of a health centre, a police station, a fire station, the construction of roads, pavements, lighting and cycle paths.
Creating opportunities for business development is also an important aspect. Environmental protection is a priority for the local government. Chęciny commune is an extremely attractive place for tourists with numerous cultural heritage sites set in beautiful natural surroundings. This is also conducive to the influx of an increasing number of residents, the establishment of new housing estates and further development zones.
