Raków commune and its unique charm is made up of 28 villages. It is one of the 19 communes making up Kielce poviat.

The land of Raków is an area of wonderful, unspoilt nature and convenient conditions for relaxation away from the hustle and bustle of big-city life. An unquestionable asset of the commune is Lake Chańcza, the largest in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship. It is a paradise for anglers and water sports enthusiasts. Tourists who value peace and quiet as much as active leisure enthusiasts will find many opportunities to pursue their interests and passions.

In recent years, thanks to funds from the European Union among others, many infrastructural and social investments have been made in the commune, which have had a significant impact on its development. New roads, pavements and water supply systems were built, and school buildings and Voluntary Fire Service headquarters were modernised. Measures were also implemented to improve air quality by installing renewable energy installations in residential buildings and modernising street lighting. Further investments in improving technical infrastructure and environmental protection are planned for the coming years.
