Górno commune is located at the foot of the Świętokrzyskie Mountains, in the vicinity Kielce. It offers a lot of tourist, recreational and leisure attractions. Górno commune has high natural and landscape values and a clean environment.
We very strongly focus on ecological and environmental activities. We are the best in the commune in implementing the “Clean Air” programme. We will purchase 28 zero- and low-emission vehicles with funds from the “Polish Deal” programme – PLN 8 million.
Tourism is an important economic branch in Górno commune. Lake Cedzyna is very popular in Górno commune. It was created as a result of backwater on the Lubrzanka River. It is one of the most popular reservoirs, both among tourists and residents of Górno Commune and Kielce. Lake Cedzyna, half of which lies within the boundaries of Górno commune, attracts a multitude of tourists (around 100,000 in the season on our part).
Our part has undergone a huge metamorphosis in recent years, thanks to investments carried out with EU support (PLN 3.5 million). We have developed the area, taking care of the cleanliness of the water and the beach and, above all, the safety of bathers. We established 3 guarded swimming areas and organised 5 parking areas. Lake Cedzyna
area has become more attractive thanks to the pavements, cycle paths, lighting and tourist infrastructure built around it. Attractive conditions for holidaymakers have been created: local gastronomy, points of attraction for children and water equipment rentals. Good accommodation facilities (e.g. hotels, agritourism farms) are also located near the reservoir.
