Paweł Smoliński is responsible for the area of innovation and development at the Office of Technical Inspection. He graduated from the Faculty of Mechatronics at the Warsaw University of Technology, specializing in Automation, as well as postgraduate management studies at the Warsaw School of Economics and postgraduate studies in Nuclear Energy at the MEL Faculty of the Warsaw University of Technology. He has been working at UDT for 15 years, where, among other things, as a coordinator, department head, and then director, he is responsible for preparing UDT for tasks related to the construction of the first nuclear power plant in Poland and the development of the technical legal framework in this regard. Since 2017, he has been associated with the innovation and development department, where, together with the team, he implemented a number of solutions improving the quality of inspections and developing the Office of Technical Inspection’s offer in the field of technical safety. The introduction of drones as inspection tools, robotization, cybersecurity of industrial systems, the use of virtual and augmented reality, or the preparation of the Office of Technical Inspection for tasks related to electromobility are examples of projects implemented in recent years.
